Crockpot Chili - Delicious & Easy to Prepare


Crockpot Chili Recipe

(reprinted from the Froggy Bottom Louisiana Cuisine cook book)


1 pound ground meat (if available, ground venison is preferred)

2 onions, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce

2 bell peppers, chopped

1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce

1 can (6 ounce) tomato paste

1 to 2 cups water

2 cans (16 ounce each) red kidney beans


1. Brown meat, onions and garlic in oil in iron skillet

2. Put into crockpot with all ingredients, except beans.

3. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, adding beans the last hour.

4. Serve hot. If desired, top with shredded cheddar cheese, Fritos and/or crackers
