Best Dessert Ever
1 stick butter |
½ cup chopped pecans |
¼ cup light brown sugar |
½ gallon vanilla ice cream |
1 cup flour, sifted |

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Cream butter and sugar with fork or pastry cutter.
Add flour and blend with fork.
Stir in pecans.
Spread very flat in 13x9-inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and stir.
Reserve 3/4 cup of mixture for topping.
Press remainder on bottom of 13x9-inch pan and let cool.
Fill with 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream.
Sprinkle 3/4 cup mixture on top of ice cream.
Cover air tight and freeze.
Fudge Sauce:
½ cup cocoa |
1 cup cream |
½ stick butter |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1½ cups sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
- Combine cocoa, sugar, butter and cream in saucepan.
- Stir and bring to boil. Let boil 5 minutes, while stirring.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla and salt.
- Keep fudge sauce in refrigerator until ready to serve. Cut dessert into 2 x 2-inch square, top with 1 teaspoon fudge sauce and serve.
This is truly the best dessert ever.
