Cookin’ Cajun Red Beans Mix.
Package Directions: In a large pot add 2.25 quarts of water, Cookin’ Cajun Red Beans Mix. If desired add one pound of your favorite smoked sausage and/or ham. Cover and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium, uncover and simmer for 2.5 to 3 hours or until beans are tender. Stir often to prevent beans from sticking to the bottom. For creamier beans, add 4 tbsp of butter or margarine when done. Serve over your favorite steamed white or brown rice. If desired, accompany with a green salad and toasted French bread.

Cookin’ Cajun Jambalaya Mix.
Package Directions: Melt 2 tbsp of butter or margarine in a large deep sided frying pan. Add ¾ to 1 pound of chicken, sausage, and/or cubed ham and brown well (or use precooked meat). Add 8 ounces of your favorite crush tomatoes, Cookin’ Cajun Jambalaya Mix and 2.5 cups of water. Stir well to combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes or until rice is done. Turn off heat. If desired, add cooked seafood such as shrimp, crawfish, crab and/or lobster, stir once and to steam for 5 minutes before serving. If desired, garnish with fresh cut green onion and/or parsley and serve with hot French bread and green salad.

Cookin' Cajun New Orleans Shrimp and Grits
In addition to this package, you will need: 1. 1 and 1/4 cup half & half or whole milk 2. 2 tbsp butter or margarine 3. Approximately one pound peeled shrimp (crawfish or chicken can be used if you prefer)
Package Instructions: Grits Directions: Remove sauce pack. Boil 4 cups water. Once boiling, slowly stir in grits. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook for 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
Sauce Directions: Melt 2 tbsp butter or margarine in a saucepan. Add 1 and 1/4 cups half and half or whole milk, and the contents of the Cookin'Cajun Shrimp & Grits Sauce pack. Mix well and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. If sauce becomes too thick, add small amounts of half & half or whole milk until it reaches desired consistency. After 10 minutes remove from heat and add fully-cooked shrimp. Season with salt and pepper or cajun seasoning to taste, and serve over Grits.
